Houston Baptist University’s Center for Moral Apologetics is undertaking a new initiative to form a community of prayer warriors committed to interceding for God to do with and through the Center as he desires. We are hoping for a group of 300 people who will commit to pray for the Center on a regular basis—that God’s will would be done through the ministry. Everything at the Center is just starting to get underway, but our hopes for its various efforts of outreach are high. We are praying that God directs our steps, makes clear his path, and brings the increase. Among the agendas of the ministry are Moral Apologetics Press, MoralApologetics.com, an upcoming Masters level Certificate program in moral apologetics at HBU, outreach to local churches, the development of curricula for Christian schools and homeschoolers, and more. It’s our hope that the Center makes HBU the preeminent place for those who wish to become immersed in and engage in cutting-edge, world class scholarship on the moral argument(s) to find a community of scholars with which to do so. In time we hope to offer workshops for faculty, lectures, conferences, and eventually to underwrite a permanent Chair in moral apologetics at HBU. From our earliest days we want to bathe all we do in prayer and remain in the center of God’s plan. If you would like to be put on the list of intercessors, please jot a note to David Baggett at dbaggett@hbu.edu and he will add you to the list.
